In The Cub, players will parkour through the remnants of humanity, facing dangerously evolved flora and fauna while solving environmental puzzles and fleeing from humans returning to Earth after an exodus to Mars. The story revolves around a boy immune to Earth’s hostile environment, pursued by Martian explorers in the aftermath of the Great Ecological Catastrophe. Each level is packed with clues about the collapse of civilization, with landscapes such as industrial towers and abandoned laboratories. Accompanying this experience, the soundtrack Radio Nostalgia from Mars combines introspective melodies with tales from the Martian survivors, all in a visual style inspired by animated films such as Tarzan and The Road to El Dorado. The game is inspired by the classic hardcore old school SEGA games from the 90s - The Jungle Book, Aladdin, Lion King - but with modern twists and ideas. A new ecosystem feeding on the chemical waste left behind evolves without humans. But some mutant children who have developed immunity and the skills to survive here still roam.
